Getting started

Flett is an infinite whiteboard with an AI in it. You ask a question, and the answer is not a message in a chat: it lands on the board as a sheet, a real page you can move, resize, edit and ask about again. A plain question becomes a document, a talk becomes one slide per sheet, a process becomes a diagram, a trip becomes a map. See Answer formats for every shape an answer can take.

Around the sheets you can draw by hand, add sticky notes, shapes and arrows, drop PDFs and images, and bring other people in with one link. Everyone on a board sees the same thing at the same moment, including sheets being written.

1. 1Open flett.app. The front page is already a board: you can draw on it, add a note and pan around without an account. It stays in your browser.
2. 2Sign in with Google or Microsoft. A new account starts with $0.25 of usage, enough for many answers, and room for 3 boards.
3. 3On the Boards page press New board, then type into the bar at the bottom, where it says “Ask for anything, it lands on the board”, and press Enter.
4. 4Watch the sheet being written. When it is done, drag it, resize it, or select it and ask a follow-up.

A board you drew on the front page before signing in is not lost: the Boards page brings it into your account the first time you sign in.

The tool rail

Down the left edge: select, move around, ask at a spot, comment, notes, text, shapes, arrows, frames, pen, highlighter, eraser, files and components.

The chat bar

At the bottom. What you ask here lands at the top left of what you are looking at.

The board's name, who is here, sharing, calls, presenting, exporting and the menu.

Moving around

Scroll to pan, pinch or hold Ctrl and scroll to zoom, or drag with the Move around tool (H).

Selecting

Click an item, drag a box on empty board, or Shift-click to add to the selection.
