Asking the AI
Brand kits
Keep your colors, fonts and logo as a kit, start one from your website, and set a board in it so every slide, page and answer follows.
What a kit is
A brand kit is your colors, fonts and logo, kept with your account. A board set in a kit uses it for every slide, A4 page and card, for the AI's answers and for what the AI designs from nothing, so a deck it makes is on brand without asking. Everyone on the board sees the same kit, guests too, and it is in every export and when you present.
- Colors
- Six: primary, accent, background, surface, text and secondary text. Text on the primary and accent colors is worked out to read.
- Fonts
- One for headings and one for text, from Google Fonts. A board loads only the two its kit uses.
- Logo
- On title and closing slides, report covers, one-pagers and the foot of A4 pages. A PNG or SVG with a see-through background works best.
With no kit, a board is in Flett's house style: white paper, dark ink, magenta and cyan, with Archivo and Source Serif.
Make a kit
- 1Open Brand kits from your account menu, or from a board's menu, and press New kit.
- 2Under Start from a website, paste your site's address and press Read the site. Flett takes the logo, colors and fonts the site states.
- 3Check what it found, change any of it, give the kit a name and save it. The slides beside the form show the kit as you go.
From a site, Flett reads the logo in its header, its brand colors as its stylesheets and browser settings name them, the most used colorful color, its page and text colors when they read well together, and the fonts its text and headings are set in when they are Google Fonts. What a site does not say stays as it was. Some sites turn away readers like Flett; set those kits up by hand.
A logo with a see-through background shows in one color where its own would not stand out, such as a blue logo on a blue title slide. A logo on a solid background shows as it is everywhere. You can keep up to 50 kits.
Set a board in a kit
New boards start in the kit marked For new boards. Your first kit is marked until you choose another from its menu on the Brand kits page, or none, which starts new boards in the house style.
- 1Open the board's menu, the Flett mark at the top left, and under This board press Brand kit.
- 2Choose one of your kits, or Flett house style.
Every slide, page, card and answer on the board takes the new kit at once, for everyone on it, and what people typed into them stays. Undo puts the kit before back. The owner and anyone who can edit the board can change its kit, from their own kits.
A board keeps the kit as it was when it was chosen. Change a kit later and the boards that use it stay as they are until you choose it on them again; the board's menu says when a kit has changed since. Deleting a kit leaves the boards that use it as they are.
Pages that keep a design of their own stay as they are: a page made in Claude or ChatGPT and sent over MCP server, or an HTML file you dropped on the board. Markdown you paste, drop or clip becomes a document in the board's kit.
Plans
Brand kits are on Plus and Pro. On Free, boards use the house style. A board's owner's plan decides, whoever opens or exports it: a board shared with you by someone on Plus keeps its kit, and you can choose one of your own kits for it if you can edit it.
If you go back to Free, your kits stay saved, and each of your boards goes back to the house style the next time it is opened, the same for everyone on it. Upgrade again and new boards start in your kit again; choose it on older boards from their menu. See Plans and usage.
